I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and as all fans of Holmes will know Dr. John Watson found himself back in London in 1881 after being shot in the Second Anglo-Afghan War. Today six British Soldiers were blown up in Afghanistan. The link between Watson and those Soldiers is ? I hear you ask. Simple the British were fighting wars in that country then as they are now. And in between the Russians and others have gone causing trouble in Afghanistan and left with there tail between their legs. The lesson of history has not been learned and it it very sad that the failure to do so will be hardest felt in six homes in England tonight.
